On my way Moxie Falls in The Forks, Maine I drove past this quite little lake that was so serene. I knew it would be a perfect location for sunset. I later found out it's named Wyman and was formed in 1930 by a 150ft dam on the Kennebec River. The road follows right along side the lake and besides the occasional passing car, it was quite and peaceful. There are a lot of turnouts so it was easy to find the perfect spot.  I honestly couldnt have asked for a better day. You can see the change starting among the trees, some in full fall display and some still green. The wind was just calm enough to get a little movement in the water, creating a stunning display of color from the reflecting hillside.  The island stands out against the backdrop, making me want to grab a tent and spend a few days in retreat from the world. This shot brings me great pride and is one of my personal favorites.
