The shores of Lake Cumberland are filled with the remains of a long lost forest just below it's waters surface. When they built the Wolf Creek Damn back in the 50's the water flooded across acres and acres of wooded land, erassing rivers, towering trees, and multiple small towns in the process. The say these underwater Ghost Towns are still visible when the water is low enough and conditions are just right. As time has gone on the powerfull water and strong midwest storms have erroded away the deep roots of the trees causing massive logs to perodically float to the surface. The pail gray's, smooth texture, and deep cracks beautifuly display the years of brutality they have endured. A subtle reminder of life that once was.
